Sunday Funday! 8/28/2011

We’ve got a Sunday afternoon ride meeting up at Centennial Park starting at 3pm, be there with gas tanks full and kickstands up at 3:15.

I think the route is this.

Prepare for some fun turns – lots of riding and some beer afterward.

Weekly Meetup tonight!

Come hang out with us at the Turnip Truck @501 12th ave South. We will be hanging out starting at 7 and theres always the potential for some awesome night riding. We have a lot going on to propel us into the winter and a few points to discuss. So yeah – be there!

Yeah we do!

This afternoon I scooted over to Antique Archaeology and had the opportunity to meet Mike Wolfe of American Pickers fame.  I only had few minutes to visit with Mike but that was just long enough to give him some scootnashville swag and tell him about the Civil War themed rally we’ve been discussing.  As I was walking out of the store I overheard Mike tell his assistant, “Hold on to that scootnashville stuff because I want to get involved with them.”    - Jason Hancock

Scooter news you can use. Seriously some of this is important.

It looks like the Turnip Truck is a big success as a meeting spot. Lots of visibility, lots of participation, a few celebrity sightings for those into that sort of thing. If you missed it, we all hung out and talked for about an hour and then geared up for a ride led by Oliver and his Ape. After running through downtown and stopping on the east side, we grouped back up and ran some more. Richard and I took an urban route through Nashville and can provide definitive proof that John Rich has Love Circle locked down after 9pm. We ran up there to find 3 officers right at his gate.

In other news, Ed has posted up a non-scooter related event that sounds like a lot of fun and is for a great cause he has spare bikes so you just have to show at his house and he will get you set up for details click here.

And most importantly is the news of learn to ride’s loss of the use of their training site. I have a lot of thoughts on this and want to make sure I get them across right the first time. Stay tuned for my thoughts on the subject and of course your chance to sound off in the comments.

Its hangout time!

Our tuesday meetup is here again at the turnip truck in the gulch. The address is 501 12th ave south. Meetup is from seven til at least nine. Come hang talk bikes, beer, our rumored safety document and how awesome it is to weld pipes with water flowing through them!

Meeting updates.

In an interest to get things easier to understand our meetups are being shifted to the same day every week. We will meet on Tuesday nights from 7-9 at the Turnip Truck in the Gulch. It’s a spot with a ton of visibility and it’s centrally located. Our event calendar has been updated to reflect the new schedule, and that calendar is something you should keep your eyes on – there is a lot brewing for scootnashville and it aint just beer.

Also don’t be surprised if one of your friendly scootnashville admin’s contacts you asking for about thirty minutes of your time in the near future.

As always if you have questions, concerns or just want to make fun of the barely working hunk of steel I call my P200E, sound off in the comments!

Meetup suggestion – 8/2/2011

It’s come to my attention that our own Willy is having a birthday throwdown at the Sounds game tomorrow night 8/2/2011. Tickets are $12 in advance $14 at the door and from what I hear scooter parking is a cinch there. Anyone want to move our meetup to the ball game this week and celebrate with the dad of Nashville’s youngest future scooterist?

Sound off in the comments!

Cafe Coco Tonight

Monday, July 25, 2011
No ride elsewhere is planned, but that doesn’t mean that someone won’t want to throw together an impromptu ride, anyway. Ross will be tied up tonight, and I may not get there until 7 p.m., but I will be there. Hope to see you, too!
