Bad road work notice !! They are doing road work at the new intersection of Lebanon Road and Central Pike by Target. They have the pavement dug up and it is the worst I have ever seen. You do not want to try and ride a Scooter or motorcycle through this area. It is very dangerious !! Ride safe .

The Totalruckus.com website has an intersting story, still taking place, of a guy on a Honda Ruckus ( 49cc) doing a 10,000 mile benifit ride through the USA, Mexico and Canda. It looks like the best day weather wise this weekend for a scoot ride is going to be Saturday. Did they give a price for the auto-transmission version?

Jeff, the only price I saw was $6995.00 . I feel like that is probably the regular manual transmission model. But we will have to wait untill this fall when they release the 2013 models to find out the final cost.

Yeah; I’d have to guess the auto version will be pricier. Maybe much more so. But shoot, it’s all academic for me, anyway, unless I hit MegaMillions, tonight.

According to Honda’s website the automatic (DCT) version starts at $8999.

I am headed to Red Dog Scooters. Will get there about 1pm. Anyone wanting to go for a short ride can meet me there.

It was good to get in a short ride, but yes it was cold and very windy . I have ridden in wamer and for sure colder weather but it was good just to be able to get out and ride when so many others are not able to do so . I don’t think I could live where I would have to winterize my bike. Never done it yet , hope never will.

I heard on the news yesterday that it is possiable that gas prices may hit $5.00 per gallon this summer. I hope not, but is good to know my big scooter ( Honda Reflex) gets 65-70 mpg and if the gas price gets really bad my Ruckus gets at least 80mpg. Boy is good to be a scooter rider !
