Would anyone be interested in a shorter, less challenging ride than Jeff’s this Saturday afternoon? I’m thinking in-town, 50cc friendly ride that lasts about an hour without big curves or gravel. Perhaps meet at Antique Archaeology, do an in-town route, and end at Mitchell’s Deli on McGavock for a bite to eat. Think of it as a fun way to keep your battery charged. – Tonya

Excellent idea! Wish I could do both! :)

Also, to clarify… when I last did this ride (12/25 — less than a week ago), there were only a couple of spots where I had to be careful about gravel. Given that we’ve had rain, and who knows what traffic has happened in the meantime (most of those twisty bits where gravel might be present are low-traffic, semi-rural residential areas), I just want to make everyone aware that such encounters are possible. :) Not trying to scare anyone away from the ride, but yes — there could be gravel. Or sticks. Or squirrels. ;)

I just updated the front page post about the ride I was planning to invite folks to check out this thread, and possibly provide input for planning a ride such as you’ve suggested, @aries. I think it’s a great idea!
