Hey! I’ve never been to cafe coco but I was reading online that the staff is rude & the service is bad. So, why meet there 2x a month?
The one “review” said the owner was mocking a physically & mentally handicapped patron. That’s completely not cool and unacceptable. I don’t think I want to give a guy like that my business. Sorry.
Therese, you bring up valid concerns. Cafe Coco was chosen as a meeting place because it was about equal distance for most members to travel to. Also beer is available for those who want it in an environment that isn’t smoky and one that is open late, its open 24 hours.
Service can be rough, but its a coffee shop with a tiny kitchen. Its also self service. You don’t have a server.
I’m not sure about the last comment with the owner mocking a disabled patron. If indeed true, that is horrible. But knowing all the drama that surrounds review sites like Yelp, I just don’t know if it happened.
Having said that, any suggestions for a venue?
Yeah…that just about sums up my experience there. I don’t know that we’re married to this place. If folks want to suggest some other locations, perhaps our friend @jprestonian would be willing to create a poll on his blog.
Sure! Make suggestions! I’ll put up a poll once we get a few choices.
Please keep in mind:
* Should be non-smoker friendly;
* Closer to the middle of town is better;
* Extra bonus points for being somewhere where a lot of scooters will draw public attention.
It was great to meet all of you folks and talk scooters. I can’t wait until the next one!

(sorry aint been on line much I just moved from the hole I lived in to a bigger N nicer hole ~gotta call that movin-up I guess~ ,also sorry I missed the last Meet-Up but MiiScoot is apart for motor upgrades & I-b painting the God awful orange parts…. hopen to make it to the next meet up or the following & show ya’all my painting skillz ~or lack there of(?)~
